Classical Osteopathy is the science of facilitating the self-healing and self-regulating mechanisms built within us by balancing the many forces our bodies take on each day through our work, our activities and our daily living. An Osteopathic Manual Practitioner aims to find the root cause of your symptoms and lets Nature do the rest.

We work with the collective mechanics of your body to help restore symmetry and motion so your body has a better opportunity to maintain physiological balance. In order to work with your mechanics, an OMP uses gentle body manipulations to address areas of restriction that can be held in your fascia, musculoskeletal system, and/or your joints. In this way, an OMP is able to address your whole body in an efficient way to identify areas of restriction before applying treatment; making our treatments efficient and effective in a short amount of time.

Your body works as a unit, let’s treat it that way!

What is Classical Osteopathy?

A MINDFUL APPROACH

A treatment with an OMP is specific to you. Since you were born, your body has adapted to a variety of physical, mental, and emotional experiences that condition its ability to take on new challenges in the future. The ability for your body to condition to a new normal is a physiological benefit; but, if the scales become tipped (too much or too little), there is potential for this physiological benefit to become a pathophysiological hinderance. You may experience this through a lack of motion, poor sleep, pain, digestive issues, and much more.

An OMP is able to interface with the way in which your body presents through a whole body assessment of your mechanics. Our goal is to create symmetry and restore motion to encourage proper coordination and communication between ALL systems in your body.

This mindful approach provides your body the opportunity to balance the scales and restore a physiological equilibrium.
