Jenny Hidber, M.OMSc and BSc (Kin)
Jenny Hidber is an Osteopathic Manual Practitioner who completed a 4-year Master in Practice of Osteopathic Manipulative Sciences (M.OMSc) at the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy in Calgary, AB. She is a certified member of OSTCAN and also holds a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Calgary.
Osteopathic Manual Therapy is both a science and a philosophy of healthcare. Osteopathy combines scientific knowledge of the body's structure and function with the philosophy that the body is an integrated whole that possesses an innate ability to self-heal and self-regulate.
By restoring balance, mobility, and function throughout the body, osteopathic treatment supports overall health and well-being.
FAQs

Classical Osteopathy works to improve overall body structure by restoring proper motion mechanics, to the best of the bodies ability. Motion is required to move fluid in our body which supplies blood to areas for healing and regulating function as well as to reduce stagnation by clearing waste through the venous/lymphatic system. Common symptoms that present themselves when motion mechanics are disturbed, along with the changes in fluid dynamics, can include joint pain, neck and back pain, digestive issues, reproductive issues, headaches and migraines, sinus congestion and more.
Osteopathy offers a variety of care to support your healing journey. It can help prevent issues from progressively deteriorating your overall health by removing restrictions early on. It can help support recovery from a current or long term issue you are dealing with. The length of time you have been dealing with this issue can impact how many treatments are needed to help. Lastly, it can be palliative for disease in the later stages of the disease process to work towards getting better days. As Osteopathy works with the tissues to encourage the bodies self healing and self regulating mechanisms, treatments are geared towards sustainable change that the body can take on and develop meaningful, lasting change.

OMT uses a principles-based approach to treatment, not a technique-based approach, which means assessment and treatment will be unique to you and what your body needs. Treatment is gentle and works with the tissues of your body, offering both a relaxing experience for you and what is also necessary for your nervous system to begin to take on these changes effectively.

Please dress in loose fitting clothing. Tight clothing may restrict my ability to access tissues I need to treat and may disturb my ability to find problem areas.
Please arrive around 10 mins prior to the start of your treatments. If you arrive late to your appointment you will only receive the remining time available within the time slot you have booked.
